Emily and Michael got married on December 21st at the beautiful Boettcher Mansion in Golden, Colorado. The couple, both in school to become rabbis came all the way from California to say I do! The bride wore a beautiful A-line lace gown with a floor length veil as her something borrowed from her best friends wedding. The bride carried a bouquet of paper flowers that were made from the pages of a Hebrew prayer book. The groom wore his army dress blues. Emily and Michael were wed under a special chuppa made of burlap that was created by Emily’s mother Sheila. The couple was married by Michael’s childhood rabbi making their ceremony very special and full of love. As the couple walked out of the doors after they were announced as husband and wife there was a light falling of snow making their moment a picture of perfection. After their ceremony the couple enjoyed their cocktail hour and mingled with their guests. After the couple was announced into their reception as Mr. & Mrs. Cohen and had their first dance to a song played by the couple’s friends. The rabbi gave a Chanukah blessing over bread and wine because the wedding day was also the fifth night of Chanukah The couple and their guests enjoyed a barbeque style meal catered by Three Tomatoes. Because of the groom’s service in the military, the couple cut the cake with a sword as they do in military tradition. The reception space was covered in candles and mason jars decorated by the bride and her family. Keeping in the Chunukah tradition the couple served special fill your own Chunukah doughnuts that accompanied their wedding cake. The couple left the venue a bit earlier than most of our weddings to continue the celebration in downtown Golden. The wedding was so unique and full of love. We wish you all the best Mr. & Mrs. Cohen.
