Not interested in the traditional guestbook?  Never fear, as more and more newlyweds-to-be are moving away from typical guestbooks in favor of signed items they can display in their home, interact with on a daily basis, or that uniquely speak to them as a couple.  We loved what our bride Ashley had guests sign at her wedding- a guest globe- and thought we’d share some other unique ideas you could try on your big day!

Guests love the opportunity to share advice and well wishes with the new couple, so why not provide pieces of paper for them to write these and other messages on.  Looking for a more modern take?  You could also provide camcorders for guests to leave video messages.  Reading these words of love  or watching these videos can become a yearly tradition each time your anniversary rolls around and serve as a reminder of your beautiful wedding day.

Wanting your guestbook to have an extra personal touch?  Guests could sign a print of your and your significant others’ fingerprints overlapping to form a heart.   This is both an unique and intimate way to connect with guests on your wedding day.  Guests could also get in on the fun by stamping and signing their own fingerprints onto a canvas to be later displayed in the couple’s home.

Other ideas include letting guests help to write you and your significant others’ bucket list.  This will allow you and your spouse to share new experiences together, and each experience will serve as a reminder of the supportive family and friends who witnessed your union.  Feeling crafty?  Offer guests the opportunity to sign quilt patches that you can sew together to make a blanket for your home.

Whatever your guestbook is, guests will appreciate the opportunity to participate in your big day.  Choose something unique to you as a couple- be it crafty, intimate, or traditional-  and that will remind you of your amazing wedding day.
