The Ivory Events team was honored to be the Day of Coordinators for Jill and Kevin on their big day. After Jill’s older sister’s wedding, Lee, we could not have been more excited to be a part of another O’Connell wedding.
The light pink and white color theme complemented the romantic style of the venue, Chateaux at Fox Meadows. The florist did an amazing job with the bridal bouquets, center pieces and a variety of floral arrangements. The majority of the decor was done by Jill and her mother, Tammie. The guest were impressed with the details! Every elements of decor enhanced the atmosphere. The place cards and drink coasters were placed on the reception tables, while cute signs such as “cheers,” “love,” and “J&K” sat on the bar and the welcome table.
We kicked the day off with Jason’s Deli catering for the lovely bride and her bridesmaids as they got ready in the bridal sweet. Later, the sparkly pink table cloths caught the eyes of the guests as they began to arrive around 4:30 pm, while the bridal party finished up some pictures overlooking the balcony. At 5:00 pm everyone was all lined up and ready to go. The ceremony was breathtaking with floral arrangements and rose petals aligning the aisle. The bridesmaids graced the aisle in their light pink dresses and a few steps behind them followed bride with her father and stepfather on either arm. The trail of the white cinderella-like-gown laid behind her as she descended the stairs. After happy tears and laughs during the ceremony, guest we’re escorted to the lawn for cocktail hour as the bride and groom headed up stairs for some alone time.
The reception began with toasts from the maid of honor, Laura and the best man, Andy. Later followed the cake cutting and first dances. A Spice of Life catered a delicious meal. Dinner was served as a buffet, and included a fresh salad, roasted veggies, cooked potatoes and breaded chicken with lemon sauce. Dessert was served shortly after, with a choice of chocolate or vanilla marble cake. The bride and groom also offered Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and my personal favorite, white chocolate Clif Bars. After everyone’s bellies we’re full it was time to get their groove on the dance floor. An open bar and today’s hits songs made guest smile and dance the night away.
As the night came to an end the bride and groom took off in a limo with a picnic basic from the caterer. The remaining guest continued to dance until the last song played.
From the decor to the food the wedding was a perfect way to celebrate the joining of the O’Connell and Bartlett family. Jill’s younger sister is getting married next year and we hope to continue the legacy by coordinating her wedding and witnessing the endless love the families will carry on to new adventures in the years to come.
